To enroll for classes through UCR STAR you will need:
In the event you have a hold against your registration, the Office of the Registrar will mail a Hold Notice to you at your local address before telephone enrollment begins. You must secure a release from the office initiating the hold action before you may complete your registration.
Pick up enrollment materials in your college office if your major is listed below. If your major is not in one of these categories, pick up enrollment materials in your major department.

Your Social Security Number (SSN) is your Student ID Number. Some students do not have a SSN and have been assigned a Student ID Number. Enter that number.
Your Registration Personal Identification Number appears on your PIN/Enrollment Appointment and Personal Data form. Your REGPIN is used only to enroll, add, drop, or obtain confirmation of your enrollment during the enrollment period.
To enroll for/add a class, enter the Registration Action code [2] on your touch-tone phone and wait for a response. Then enter the 5-digit course call number and wait for a response. Follow this process for every course in which you wish to enroll/add. You must follow this process for each activity part of a course. For example, enrollment in a course with lecture, discussion and laboratory sections may require the entry of three separate course call numbers. Enter the lecture section call number first.
Note: Be sure to plan for alternate sections and/or alternate courses in the event you find your preferred course section filled.
To drop a class, enter the Registration Action Code [3] on your touch-tone phone and wait for a response. Then enter the 5-digit course call number for the course you wish to drop and wait for a response. Follow this process for every course you wish to drop. You must follow this process for each activity part of a course such as lecture, laboratory, discussion, etc. Enter the lecture section call number first.
To listen to a confirmation of your course enrollment, enter [5] on your touch-tone phone.
To end your enrollment session, enter [9] on your touch-tone phone, listen to closing message, and then hang up the telephone.
