Important Enrollment & Records Access Changes

Check it out at www.students.ucr.edu

The Office of the Registrar is pleased to announce our newest development in services for students: PAWS, Phone and Web Services. Through PAWS, you can now enroll in courses, obtain your grades, confirm your course schedule, and change your permanent pin number (PERMPIN) online. Future services include online address changes and access to billing records.

Instructions for PAWS use are on the following pages:

Look us up at http://www.students.ucr.edu/

You will need your UCR PERMPIN whenever you access PAWS. The PERMPIN is a permanent identification number that you will use to access your records throughout your UCR career. The PERMPIN should not be confused with your registration pin number (REGPIN), which changes every quarter and is used only to enroll in classes. You may have already assigned yourself a PERMPIN when using UCR STAR to pick up grades or confirm your courses or the Office of the Registrar may have assigned one to you. If you are unsure of your PERMPIN, stop by our office with a picture ID Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to pick up a copy. Please don't call us for your PERMPIN, as we can't give it to you over the phone. Once you know your PERMPIN, please retain it (since you will need it the next time you want to access PAWS or UCR STAR), and keep it confidential.

Add or Drop classes via PAWS or UCR STAR during the first week of instruction

Use PAWS or UCR STAR during the first week of instruction (no more paper add/drops or waiting in line for most classes). See the Important Notice on Schedule Adjustments for more information on first week add/drops.
